Sharon McKinnon has over twenty-five years of policy development experience. She has worked extensively on grain policy and marketing, and is currently focusing on environmental policy in her work for EarthEcon. Her career responsibilities have included professional writing, project management, and policy research – skills she brings to select projects for EarthEcon.

Currently, Sharon is the Program Policy Coordinator for the Crop Sector Work Group, where she manages environmental policy issues and liaises between farmers, government, NGOs and industry. Her experience communicating among diverse interest groups is invaluable in her work with EarthEcon. Sharon is also an alternate member for the Alberta Water Council. She holds an MSc in resource economics, and a certificate in business management.
